    Talking New to scrapping

I have recently become involved in purchasing storage containers and am finding many treasures that seem to have more value as scrap metal. I hope to find plenty of good information and support here. Thanks, Marc

Welcome to the forum , I can't think of a treasure that has more value as scrap . Wouldn't that make it not a treasure ? I recommend reading the old threads for valuable info on breaking items down , possible resale value and new ideas . Good luck on your quest !

My wife and I cleaned out a unit once, we live in a wet area and the unit had a leak, everything in bags was either bag of household trash (better to pay to store it than pay to throw it away?) or a bag of moldy stuff. Everything in the unit had a wonderful stench. Many of the items not in bags were new in the package but became trash because of the mold and stench. It was packed floor to ceiling, front to back and we were only able to save a few things. Gross. Resale is best, if possible, for the rest SMF is the best, have fun searching the forum finding the best ways to maximize the value of your "treasures", and welcome to the forum.
