    Hello from Pennsylvania

Hello my name Dave, I live approx 20 miles outside of Philadelphia, PA. I have been lurking and wanted to introduce myself. Besides scrapping I am interested in learning how to fix things, bicycles , personal finance, hunting and dogs.

I have a full-time job that I enjoy as an electronic technician with a low voltage contractor.

I look at scrapping as a way to make extra income and to have fun.

Scrap metal is not going to be my sole source of income but I want to maximize my earning potential (profit).

My plan is to learn more to earn more. Have a used van, and one car garage to have as a small workshop. Need to organize the garage so I will have a place to work and play.

I would like to find items that I could fix then resell and sell everything else to the scrap yard. I think at first I will try curb shopping. Does anyone think that this is a bad idea or a waste of time ?

Hopefully in the future I would be able to contribute to the forum.

Have enjoyed reading the forum and think there is some interesting and helpful people here.
