    Hello from Massachusetts

Hello from Massachusetts! Land of the many scrap yards but none that will scrap e-waste for what it is.

My wife and I do thrifting/eBay part time and I'm a full time IT guy. Needless to say, I have piles upon piles of old e-waste, desktops and peripherals. I started scrapping them in my basement as the pile was getting too high of desktops and now I have bins of aluminum hard drive bodies, hard drive readers, platters, hard drive circuit boards, motherboards, etc. I came on here in hopes of learning more about e-waste and possibly the best avenue to get the best bang for the buck selling it. I pretty much have a small unlimited supply of it, just need a way to get rid of it.

Reading over the forum it seems other from Massachusetts have the same problem. Any thoughts?

Check out the Buyers Section here you will find buyers here offering fair prices for your scrap. Some will even offer help with shipping in form of a reduced price and take the cost from your payout.

thanks, I'll definitely do that. The aluminum hard drive bodies and steel cases are easy for me, it's the boards, hard drive readers and platters I have a problem with.

Hold onto your stash for now and read read read. You will soon know you will be making the right moves when it comes to selling. Like you've been told the buyers on the forum are reviewed repeatedly so you have confidence when shipping. Mike.
