Hello people!

My name is Mikael and i live in Sweden and I'm 26. I have serious plans on starting a scrapping business the job i have now I'm so sick of and my boss is an ******* "ass" well hehe. I'm looking forward to interact with you guys on here and looking forward to learn from you!

is scrapping a big business in Sweden?

can u tell us how much the yards near you pay per kg for copper, brass, s/steel etc?

Thanks for the welcomes! For the copper we get almost 4€/kg. Steel is like 0.12€/kg brass i don't know at the moment, these are prices for private sellers (this market is quite new in Sweden, for example i don't know of anyone who pays for electronic scrap other than cables over here.) I'm sure as a company and with big loads you can get some better money.

Welcome to the forum. I agree that ewaste could be a big deal for you. Do a lot of reading of the forum and remember prices changes so some of the older threads may show higer prices for ewaste.
At the bottom of each thread is a list of similar threads.

Start slowly and build up your business as you learn more and have more equipement to work with.

The last guys I spoke with from Sweden were on the ham radio using Morse code. Mike, KE4ILG.
