    First attempt at scrapping

Well I am all done scrapping everything in my house that was not being used and decided it was time to go find more stuff. I started last night by doing a drive through of a couple of the local apartment complexes. I am surprised at the amount of good stuff out there. Got 2 6' foot torch lamps one is brass and two vacuums along with a cord from a crock pot ( did not think there would be anything else good in the crock pot so I cut the cord and took it)and an aluminum folding lawn chair. I left a set of window blinds in one dumpster then realized this morning that they are aluminum. I will have to go back and see if they are still there. I live about 5 minutes from the scrap yard and I drive through 4 different cities to go to my day job each day. Thinking I will hit the apartment complexes each day on my way to work or back. Deos anyone else have any luck with apartments? Anyway, the forum is great! I have learned a lot from reading back posts.
    Thanks for all the help

Welcome. I used to live in an apartment, and would pull stuff out of the dumpsters almost daily. The maintenance guys would also bring me the stuff people set next to the dumpster that was too large to lift in.

God is great, scrap is good, and people are crazy

Its better to be scrapping and thinking of God than sitting in church thinking of scrapping

    Welcome from Indiana...

Try to find out what day(s) of the week they empty the dumpsters and then check them out the night before.
