    New Urban Miner

I have had the bug for a while now but I just found out there is more to scrap than copper, cans, and steel. I am trying to amass Ewaste for the precious metals. I love and need the tips on how and where to score scrap. Good luck everyone.

Well you are at the well of knowledge and its free. All that's required is the effort to read the old threads. If you take the time to read you will develope a basis to work with and be able to recognize opportunities. Mike.

I know it takes a lot of ewaste to start refining the gold. I have been reading about it and will not try anytime in the near future, but has anyone in here tried aqua regia or reverse elctro-plating? Do most just sell boards and CPU for scrap?

Most here sell the boards to buyers on this forum, eventually they get to a refiner. There is another forum on the web for gold recovery but it's serious chit and you got to know what your doing. I don't so I sell.

Hello again. After much reading I'd like to say the forum is very informative and is getting in the way of me going outside and looking for scrap. I guess this is a good thing because I am learning more about what I want to get involved with to maximize $$$ and minimize clutter. I have always wanted to build my own home foundry and just ran across a post that mentioned one so it is off the the search function from here. I have a ceramic kiln that I tried to melt copper in about a year ago but that did not turn out too well,so I kinda gave up on it. I want to try again though. Good day to all and good pickens to ya.
