    Hi, I'm interested ;D

Hi everybody, I'm Xoxie. I'm quite the novice on scrapping but I'm prepared to dump my blood, sweat and tears into this! I recently got into scrapping because of my boyfriend. I saw all the money he was making and thought "cha-ching!" Lol, in all seriousness though I've always been the type of girl who actually enjoys roughing it and getting her hands dirty. So ever since I've been with said boyfriend, I've been asking him all kinds of questions on the ins and outs of scrapping. He loves that I'm interested but, I am a scatter brain and before long there is always a repeat of questions. So I feel like I need to be considerate of him and quit bombarding him with so many questions and just do my own friggin research on the subject. So here I am! I already have the majority of tools that I need and connections with most of the local scrappers. My main concern is learning how to decipher all the different metals and how to determine the weight of different things such as vehicles. So any advice for a newbie (female) scrapper would be much appreciated! In the mean time, I'll be rummaging through this forum for all the little trinkets of information I need

Welcome to the forum. You'll find alot of information here, I did. As far as the metals it will become second nature and you'll be able to spoy a brass faucet a 65 mph on the highway 1/4 mile away. It just takes time. Look into the e-scrap too it is not so well known to most scrappers and can be a good source of cash.
