Smile Greetings From A "Cannuck" from "The Rock" Vancouver Island BC

I've retired now from the biz that I owned & operated just outside of Coombs, BC. Tourists might recall Coombs, as that place with "the goats on the roof", which is actually a farmers market with a thatched roof that has a couple of goat famlies living on it, which ENTERTAIN the "locals" when one of them LAND on their guests!!!
My partner at the time and myself recycled LOTS having been in a very "recyclable" profession. What we NEVER took the time for was to actually "make money" doing it!!! In our defence I will state that at one time we had FOUR businesses, BESIDES our 2nd Hand store, operating out of our one location sooooooooooo time was something that just was NOT available. We donated it to a local scrap yard who reciprocated by letting us pick through his yard when we needed something for repair purposes. It was a win/win. Probably more for Dougie McLean, our local scrap guy but at LEAST it didn't end up in a landfill...
After I retired from that biz I bought a small acreage with a few rental cabins on it. On the bottom half of the "ranch" were two excavators, in a state of needing MEGA repair. I sold them for scrap about 6 years ago. I bought an old dozer, for $2500.00 to clear some of the land below and to put in a 3-400' road. It's an old Alice Chalmers. 1949, to be exact! An old horse that's truly BULLIT PROOF, but NOT without it's share of "quirks"! I bought a manual for it so that my "ex" Lyle who is now a buddy of mine would know how to deal with these "quirks", in order to keep it running...
I joined this forum because I've finished with Alice and am attempting to advertise her here on the Island. IF for some reason "Probably" the reason being that she's just a tad bit UGLY , people might NOT be inclined to check her out although I can show her running, but IF I have no takers then I might have to resort to selling her for SCRAP, although I think that would be a total waste. I need to educate myself as to the best route to go, should I decide to do that. For example: The winch on the back is HUGE and would be EXCELLENT at hauling stumps/trees etc. out. Maybe that's something I should sell seperately???
I'll sign off now and in my spare time...lol, maybe I'll figure out how to post a "centerfold" of Alice on here... Thanks in advance for any advice I may receive.

Then you would have loved that Big Brutus they made into a historical park cause it was going to cost too much to move it away. I saw this thing not long after they shut it down.. You could see it down the road for about 2-3 miles. Amazing, what we can do, let the Chinese copy this,,,,lol
