Hobo, down here in Mesa, AJ, and Tempe we have a few places that pay $0.30/lb of any #1PETE Plastics, not just bottlws.
These are the same people who buy Al cans for $1.00/lb. I figured they were cashing in the cans for deposit out of state, but the PETEs I can't see how they could be cheating since I give them more than bottles ie containers that cherry tomatoes are sold in and other packaging. This also fills up large buckets quickly so I always cut my plastic up before putting into the bucket.
Only one place buys the other #1 plastic for $.25 and no produce / fruit containers. Prices are weird at each place.

#2 plastic non CRV natural / clear $.10
#2 plastic color non CRV $.04
Glass CRV bottles $.04
