For the ladies or points for a scraper!

Not sure if this is the correct area, going to put it in Non Metal Recycling and a moderator can move it to area that's more appropriate if needed (thanks).

I learned something from my GF today, actually I got her interest in some of my scrap efforts. We are cleaning out a large office space and getting it ready for lease. The prior tenant was a fairly large insurance company, that is moving into one of our larger spaces, so should be a winner all the way around.

They are upgrading office furniture so all of the old stuff is mine to dispose of. Going to try to sell it to a company that resells old office furniture. I'm always amazed what office workers leave in old desk and this job had 30 to 40 desk to clean out. There's always lots of paper clips and pens, plus the unexpected amount of surprises. Coins and paper money my favorites, this job added up to just a little over $18, not complaining as it all adds up. A couple wheat leaf pennies and a mercury dime (silver), will add a little more value. Also found a some loose jewelry, will have to check them latter for gold and silver. Tip: with old desk remove the drawers and look in between and in everything!

I put all of the ladies makeup in a box and gave it to my GF this morning. She was happy as some was never even opened and she was happy with those. She started putting what she didn't want in a waste basket. I noticed she was setting some of the used stuff aside, so I asked "Your not going to use someone else's makeup are you? She said yes nail polish is expensive and there's nothing wrong with most of these. She also told me about a brand call (MAC), that has a recycling incentive program. You bring six empty MAC products into your local department stores makeup counter. They will give her one new MAC lipstick. When I got home from work today, she showed me the three new MAC lipsticks she got today! Told me that it was about $20 savings and told me make sure to let her sort any makeup I find for now on.

She also said she went online and learned that you can also send them in for a coupon. I had her pull up the web site and I copied this link to share with my fellow scrapper's https://www.maccosmetics.com/giving_...ck_to_mac.tmpl
Might be "extra bonus points" for you guys that are always getting a earful about the scrap pile. I also know we have some "LADY SCRAPPERS", maybe this might help you. For me I just like to get all the return I can for the hard work. The plus for me was just learning about another thing that can be scrapped!
