    washing machines

    whats a washing machine worth to a scrapper what would be th most you would pay for a scrap washer? thanks

    $5 probably less if I had to use my gas to go get it

    I don't normally get them unless free and all I take is wiring and scrap the rest as is

    Pull the motor, see if drum is painted stainless or alum, check for boards if it's a modern washer.

    The front control panel is al. I get 36 cents a lb for motor, also pull all wires. I wouldn't pay for them.

    I offer to pay $5 for one in a 5 mile radius of my house. I then expect it to be in the driveway when I get there and often times they don't want the $5 and have other stuff as well. I pull the wire, motor and face plate.
