There's a sample, you could make your own copy of that on MS office word, or photoshop.

That sounds like an amazing certificate. Just sayin'.

"I got my high school diploma!"

"Yeah? I got my certificate of DESTRUCTION!"

    "Ok "

Just google "certificate of destruction" and it'll come up with all kinds of samples. Just make yours up and have them run off at Staples for a little bit of nuthin'.

Like I mentioned, add your company name to it and type it up in Msoft word, to make it read just as you like.
I really like this one and you can print them yourself for a real minimal price and have 6 to a sheet. http://www.au.af.mil/au/holmcenter/A...s/dlis1867.pdf

So... There is no type of requirements, or certification..just print the certificate?? Really I figured there was some type of process you had to go through!

you are putting your company on the line when you provide those to your clients. If they know what to look for they want you to put specific wording in the fine print that puts the liability on you.

My personal advice is spend a couple hundred bucks in legal counsel (due diligence) instead of searching for this on the forum. Dealing with data, especially regulated data, isn't something to mess around with. We use the perspective of "how would this look as a newspaper headline" or "how would we sound under oath describing this.."

For example "We decided to go with the agreement because I found it on a google search and it looked correct" vs "We had seeked professional legal counsel which had advised us on the decision. They drafted and approved this and guaranteed the following ..."

Here is a little insight what we do at our company...

We offer data destruction for hard drives, usb sticks etc... We take a picture of each item before and after destruction. Then we issue a certificate of destruction with serial number, weight, and a company seal.

    Hope this helps.

Paying a lawyer gives you legal advise. It also gives you someone to sue if you get sued because of that advise. It is an "insurance policy". Mike.
