the list of my questions is neverending, but we'll start small.

i currently run a scrap yard with my dad and am looking to grow exponentially by the end of the year. i have all the equipment i need to run the yard, but what i don't have are the connections. i scrap all my metal with a local yard who pays $12-$14 per hundred and they sell to a company in tampa bay who when i called only pays about $13.75 per hundred. i'm assuming the company is low balling me, but i can't be sure. my question is does the quantity output by the yard determine the price i get from the company? or is the profit margin for the yard really that incremental?

as for the my alum, copper, etc. i am currently selling a pretty large quantity to a local auto core place. they in turn export at a higher rate than they buy which means they are also just a middle man. how can i get in touch with a direct source to export my other scrap? i'd rather not deal with a broker as they haven't been much help so far.

any info or help would be very much appreciated. thnx!
