    GMI, my suggestion is to start hitting the auto graveyards in your area. Get a HD box truck and become very knowledgeable regarding you state's hazardous materials laws. You'll be competing with some heavy hitters if you're wanting to get a certain amount of batteries a month. Usually, you'll need to pay top dollar and have a contract with them for, say, 250 auto-sized (or equivalent) batteries a month. Conversely, they're on the hook to provide you with that many batteries each and every month. That's why I'm not a good resource for you. Battery recycling business is cut-throat, even in my rural neck of the woods. The profit "per battery" margin is going to be razor thin for the type of operation you're planning and you'll need to stay on top of your vendors.

    Of course, I may just be full of it, too.
