    Easy Advertising that works.

So I got a new to me truck with a rotten tailgate on it, and since the tailgate is getting replaced when I come back from overseas I thought it would be a good time to play around with an advertising Idea I had. My truck advertisement was just putting my business name hand painted on the side of my trucked trailer I had on Ft. Hood. that seemed to work well. so I decided to spray paint this tailgate to see the responses up here. with in the first week of me having the truck and being in an area completely new to me it got me $100 in the first week I was there. It was pretty simple and really basic. My phone number is painted below the metal recycling. I even spelled it wrong and still got hits from it. most were in person, but it did work. when I come back from this deployment and get a new tailgate this is definitely going back on. I may even get a wrap or paint the side of my bed again. that seemed to work too.

The only problem I see around here is that if you start to advertise on your vehicle you are considered a business and require special plates......I prefer to fly low and under the radar.......To each their own and any type of advertising is better than none.......Good luck on your deployment and be safe

that was the one I had on Ft. Hood that worked surprisingly well. I don't care if you steal my method for advertising. go right ahead. if this is what you need to get started with. its about $6 for a can of spray paint. sure beats a $300 wrap on a truck that's only worth that much.

thanks. the good thing about that advertisement is you can cover it up real quick if someone should get in trouble for it. just use the rest of the can to "paint" your truck. some areas are a lot harder to run businesses in though. I will give you that. lucky for me though I got my assumed name and EIN# I believe. as long as theirs no HOA's or zoning that pop up overnight I should be good.
