Tips for a non driver?

Hi everyone!

So right now I do not have a vehicle to drive, and I am interested in getting back into scrapping. Although I do have a bike, and I have yet to finish setting up this utility trailer i have for it. I was looking for any advice/ tips on how I could get into this business as it seems to having a vehicle would make it a million times easier.

I was thinking ewaste.

wondering how old u are...
if u have a grandfather nearby or any uncles who are unemployed, retired etc... it would be nice to get them involved.
they can help you and get to earn something themselves as well

not to mention that they would appreciate having something to do.
i dont think getting outsiders involved is a good idea bcos they will most likely end up cutting you out of the pic once they learn the ropes.

I think even ewaste would be difficult, as it can be quite bulky and the volume quickly add up. Even a small load like 5-10 desktops would be very difficult without a car/truck. Even with a pickup truck sometimes I have a hard time loading everything in one trip.

I started in this business by cutting/beating apart old rusted cars that were sitting on a cliff above this walking trail. I couldn't get my truck anywhere near close enough so I was using Kobalt 6 cubic foot steel wheel barrows to move 1/2 cars about a mile or so out of the woods. The best advice I can give you is plan your routes well and make sure your stuff is distributed properly. Although a truck is nice to have its just a tool, you can do perfectly fine without one if you know what your doing and don't get lazy.
