I would call the local forklift dealer for that brand of forklift and ask the cost to overhaul the hydraulics then you will have a worst case scenario of repair or ask if they have a mobile repair capability and ask for a quote.

depends on how common the name of the forklift is. There should be enough salvageable parts on it to sell and make profit regardless. Or fix it up and sell it whole.

Hell, even the weight of the forklift would come close to a wash in scrap.

You have to figure out if you can even handle this type of item.

    Things to consider :
    1. Can you move/store it.
    2. If you are scrapping it can you safely remove the all fluids and dispose of them properly (Hydraulic/Propane).
    3. What’s the local demand for this to try and resell? (look on Craigslist, etc., to see what’s for sale)
    3. If selling it do you have the money and time to have it fixed?
    4. Can you recoup your investment plus any time and repairs to make a profit?
    5. How old it is? If Battery powered how old are they? (maybe an issue if selling)

In the end its up to what you can do.

    Good luck,
I'm going to recycle the world.

are the forks on the lift? replacement ones sell for more than $200. If the forks are good could you resell them?

If you have the capacity to move and store it, sounds like a good deal. The forks could be sold and the rest scrapped. There is a lot of lead weight in those batteries.

We just scraped a standup lift a few months ago. I posted pics and scrap weights and payout for reference.
Decide if you even would benefit from owning one. Maintenance and upkeep on these are a b***h . Also, you are required to keep records and follow safety procedures according to OSHA standards just for owning one.
    Food for thought. Good luck
