You would need to run the free ads as suggested or make some good contacts to make it work. I would love to here about your adventures if you do pursue it. As they always say, where this is a will there is a way.
I've been doing this for 4 years plus one year doing the curb shopping route and you've got me beat already. I only found one tower curbside all this time. As for the state making it illegal to place electronics out on the curb for trash collection, it hasn't stopped folks from putting CRT TVs out. That leads me to think most folks don't know about the ewaste laws. I have to admit I've been wondering if anyone has been fined yet.
I stopped curb shopping because it seemed like I was going through $10.00 in gas for $5.00 worth of scrap. That and the fact that it is illegal to do so in my county.
