Have you analyzed your business model and made any changes for this year?

Just wondering how many do a business analysis and make changes on a periodic basis. At the end of each year, I compile data that lets me see what is working or holding me back. Based on last year's Profit and Loss, I've decided to focus my efforts on commercial. I spend too much time, energy and fuel on the residential part. I found that generally, I get scrap from commercial for free as they are more concerned with keeping their area clean whereas residential customers are focused on how much they can get for their stuff. Now, the last statement isn't true in all cases, but enough that I won't be going after any more residential business. I'll be changing my advertising along that line and am meeting with a web designer for breakfast tomorrow to start building a website. I've got some residential that will continue calling and bringing me stuff and I'll keep them - most on a "trade basis" (they drop off their junk and go through what I've gotten, looking for "treasures"). I just won't be trying for more.

People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.
