getting new sources of scrap metal?

Ok i've canvassed neighborhoods and knocked on doors of peoples places. Scraped through alleys to get stuff there. somebody told me that talking to people who run construction companys could get you some good scrap..same with plumbers or people blah blah blah. anyone ever try fliers or whatnot? my wife is putting a ad on the local craigslist for me.

If Search isn't working out for you, and it's better now then it was..lol..try the advanced feature. You can also find similar threads to your question, and look at the bottom to see four similar threads.

To answer your question, tho Mechs links won't steer you wrong and you should read regardless.

Yes..fliers can work, as can business cards, CL ads, classifieds, etc. Just like any other business, any medium will work for advertising. Just ask T Money..

Try on the outskirts of your town or city where the laws and rules are more laxed on keeping your yard clean, people have the tendency to accumulate junk ie. scrap. Also you will probably need a trailer to get as much stuff as possible to make it worth your gas and time. Good luck
