    Usps flat rate increase!!!

More for the folks that do a lot of e bay selling....usps flat rates increased....med flat rate box up to $12.35 large flat rate up to $16.85....might want to adjust your pricing to alot for the increased rates.

No more parcel post and no option to print standard mail service labels at this time, standard mail is the new parcel post. These moves are very bad for the troubled usps. I have moved 30% of my shipping to fedex so far that i was using usps for a month ago. I dont think usps is gonna be around much longer if they dont get competitive on shipping very soon.
I buy and sell all types of scrap and escrap. I buy specialty and hard to sell escrap. I buy resale items. PM me or contact me at jghilino@hotmail.com
I AM ACTIVELY BUYING ESCRAP OF ALL TYPES. BOARDS, RAM, CPUS AND MUCH MORE

Only issue with Fedex is their packages for things are not that many.

With USPS, at least if they don't have a box for you, you can bring in your own.

I charge free shipping on my stuff, because ebay gets enough of the 9% final value fee for my auctions.

You pay ebay fees on shipping whether its free or not, so in my eyes its best to offer free shipping on everything and bundle all the costs into the item. Anything that weighs more than 5 pounds and wont fit a flat rate box is gonna be cheaper to ship with ups or fedex, because of no more parcel post. I also get a 27% discount with fedex, all i get with usps is commercial base pricing which isnt much of a discount.

I would switch to Fedex 100% but as I said, the boxes they offer are not very selective, and do you know if we can use our own box like you can with USPS?

27% discount is nice. Not sure what kind I have, or if I even get one lol

I saw that you can print fedex labels on ebay now. Will they pick up packages at those prices, or do you have to take it to them?

George...I always use my own boxes with Fed Ex. If I don't have one laying around from something else that works I make one out of a sheet of cardboard or go buy one at Home Depot.

Boo hiss to USPS...wish there was a cap on what they can charge! I think there is restraints on how often they can increase the cost, but none on by how much.
I don't ship much, but when I have I preferred Fed Ex because they have actually scan & track each step of he way thru to delivery. USPS doesn't track as they are in rte., only pkup and delivery. If you're going to pay I want to track my pkg each stop until delivery. Just paranoid me.

USPS does have free tracking with their flat rate boxes, you used to have to pay extra for that. Prices for shipping have been going up for over a decade while options have been cut. I think the USPS is jacking up the rates because they are firing people left and right and those who are left have to deliver most small packages along with the mail so they need to get the volume down. If I had to guess congress wants to ditch the USPS all together so that private carriers can jack up their rates and terminate services to rural areas ($$$$ bribes).

I wish FedEx had a drop off location near me. I would have to drive 25 extra miles to ship something. Or pay more to have it picked up.

I will probably be using UPS mostly now. Getting sick of all these increases.

Seems like a lot of people I buy from on ebay are using UPS and FedEx lately for large and small items so they must be competitive now.

Fed x is up to almost .50 lb now. As has been the trend this year cost of every thing is continuing to rise while scrap prices are pancaking.

One mistake that was relatively small and easy to recover from last year, is now huge.

I think it is more likely the quicker turn around time. It is with me. If you have 300 lbs or more at a time I suggest you look in the buyers section for a freight broker. I have use one from there and the time of turn around is as good as FedEx, and the price savings is super. check him out. this is definitely an olddude best of pick.
