    A Potential Investment

I have this weird idea. So there's this store that sells stainless steel plates that are relatively small maybe the size of an ashtray. Some are painted yellow to imitate a gold like color. They sell these plates for about 30 sen which is about 10 US cents. Now say I would buy about 10 of these plates that's 3 RM or 1 USD. The plates aren't that heavy and about ten may make a pound. Do you think I should buy them and bring them back with me? Or should I talk to my Yard first and work out a deal with them?

    Thanks for the help!

I doubt that there is any profit to be made but you could buy one and get an accurate weight and do the math. It seems unlikely that a new product could be made cheaper than it's scrap value. Spend your time looking else where for used junk to sell for its scrap value. There are many threads that explain many different ways to locate scrap and I suggest you read alot more of them. Mike.
