" How to remove the yoke from a TV without breaking the glass "
How do you ever get into it in the first place, without breaking the glass??
That is true. Always a possibility.
However, you are just showing some harsh love towards it. Just have to hit it hard enough to knock it loose. I used to be real careful, but since the only option I have for them is the landfill, I just swing, take the goodies, and call it done.
As i've said before, the glued on cones are aluminum. Do not waste your time.
Right. I guess, for me, it has to do with quantity. I get thousands a month. The RCA TV's with aluminum cones are not worth the hassle. I tell my employees to not bother with them. That time could be spent breaking down other TV's.
If you only go threw say, less than 100 a month, i could see saving up the aluminum from them.
I guess it all boils down to, "time is money".
I could definitely see your point for sure.
If I had the space, and someone who would take the plastic and glass, other than the landfill, I could make good money from any TV. Unfortunately, where everyone else on here lucks out with Goodwill, Salvation Army, Best Buy, etc. Only place that will take them in any condition period, is the landfill.
