    questions about processors

Hey guys and gals, I ran into some procs I don't know how to sort. They are a slot 370 on the side of a slot processor , they had celeron chips in them . Do the slot cards still qualify as slot processors or are they something else? I've had alot of fun sorting so far on this load, my buddy and I picked up a cleanout for a school district and have recieved 83 towers complete, and 30 monitors so far. They have approximately 100 more towers and 160 monitors , plus lots of supporting peripheral stuff to go yet. I think this is going to pay off quite well. p.s. I did search but couldn't find any thing. thanks much bigjoshl.

Are you referring to a 370 chip slot adapter? If so pull the chip (socketed) and you will get chip price per pound for green CPU’s and then get #1 board mobo price for the adapter per pound.

These slot adapters look just like a slot1 or slotA with the plastic case removed and instead of a surface mount CPU they had a socket for a chip to plug into. It was one of those things when they found that slot chips had a cooling problem and AMD & intel reverted back to traditional MOBO sockets.

Here's a pic of one style:

A good chart for computer parts, ports, ram, socket styles, etc would be:

The poster is about 3MB but is worth checking out for those that don't know anything about pc parts, and even experts that think they know everything! There's some ports on there that I've never seen before in 30 years of working on pc's!
