New Ewaste Buyer Near Me

I'm finally getting an ewaste buyer near me and their prices are all over the place from awesome (.50 per pound for cd-drives) to horrible (1.75 per # green mother boards). They asked me to come by to visit their yard and talk to them more about e-waste, as their team is very new. Get this though, i ask how much they pay for low grade boards and they say $1.10 per #. I proceed to explain what a low grade board is and where it comes from and their answer is the same. Finally, being the idiot-nice-guy that I am I explain that they have misunderstood their buyers and to check into this. Although they will be local competition, I'm hoping to create a great relationship with them.

Seems many places only pay .10 for low grade so if they add the adjusted price of low grade to motherboards you might have something.

.50/lb for CD drives. Tell them I have around 10000lbs. If they want to buy them

I was gettin .20 on low grade and i thought that was a good price

Locally here, low grade boards are only .06/lb

i'm about to decide it's best to just leave the boards in with the shred? I've got old VCRs and CD/ROMs etc, should i just not waste my time with removing the boards ?

50cents on cds and floppy is not that bad if you are taking in small weight.

They will lose out on low grade in the long run and learn the hard way.

Is not bad. Don't you think this is a great price. Are you saying you can expect a better price with more weight. I seriously have 10000lbs right now.

I'm getting under that but I do not think it would be worth shipping there with the deal I have going now.

The buyer is located out of Winchester, Virginia. Not sure if they are up and running fully yet. I will post contact information etc, by next week when I go into meet with them. Feel free to pm me next week if I forget to post it.

Since I can't get more than shred I don't remove them. The exception is the contacts on the floppy drives.(current price is $1.80/lb) On some of them I can cut them off with a wood chisel with out disassembly. Mike.

Was that for the bare pins or still in the plastic?

Best offer I can get on low grade is $0.08 for copper bearing. If I don't figure out what to do with them soon, I'm going to cover them with dirt and name the mountain after myself.

floppy and cd/dvd pins are gold aren't they? same as hdd pins? and aren't they the same as the ide pins from the cables they plug in to?

for the pins in the plastic. I just trim off the brown board remaining after i snap it off
