    Smile Guess on what this is worth in todays market?

    I have (48) 4"x4" contact sheets that are gold plated and am trying to figure out what approx. what its worth. They were contacts to the larger ceramic cpus in the picture below.

    I have sold the ceramic cpus already and am looking too let these go soon. THanks guys!

    New to the site. I salvage, recycle and sell mostly older computers (95 and earlier). Always trying to learn as must as possible.

    I forgot to mention all these are double sided. I am really looking for a formula to help calculate value. (calculate cubic area and then to weight in ounces) I am unsure what the thickness of the plating is so I feel it would be alittle difficult to get a precise value. So an educated guess is fine.

    I'm afraid it's a total crap shoot... the best you can do is eBay them and see what they will bring in...

    p.s- Could you share what type those lareger cpu's? And what application did they came out of ?

    the gold refining forum has a calculation but you need to know the thickness.

    @ Samuel
    Those larger CPUs came from some machinery to manufacture semi conductors (the wafers to be exact). They were sold to a CPU collector and not for scrap

    @faulguy
    Do you have a link to that forum. I did a search and could not locate it. Thanks!
