Got my first box of laptop parts today. Do I need to take off these 2 metal enclosures? New one for me... thanks

scrapping them must be easier than fixing them, having to put them back together. Sometimes they'll have a little clip or something hiding in there somewhere, nothing a good pry with a long screwdriver shouldn't fix

Got 'em. Thank you. Do they actually get sold with the gold connectors or as some kind of board? I'm close enough to ship gold connectors in a flat rate and a huge box off motherboards separately...

I would put the motherboards in the box and put the gold connectors on the side cheaper if you ship all you can in one box

I usually box it all up and ship fed-ex to ewasted because his pricing is better especially on 50+lbs. Have not tried easy yet, will look into the cheaper shipping with lower pricing and see how I would make out. Am thinking of shipping the gold connectors in a flat rate box... not sure yet

There was a really good shipping thread on here not too long ago and now I can't find it. It compared the rates of usps and the other shippers. Does anyone know that link? Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Mechanic - some towns not far from here were hit pretty badly, but not mine.
Were you near any damage in Indiana? Some tragic stories out there.

I'm up here on the north end of the state, the damage was in southern Ind. Henryville was almost totally wiped out. They all need our prayers right about now,,,

Those two metal cages with us would be fine left on and do not need to be removed to be called high grade.

Am I the only person who has trouble reading the post in these sliding boxes when there is a quote in them?

Is that because it's slanted ??? Can be a little hard to read if I'm tired.
