thought i found a local e-scrap buyer... guess i was wrong

has anyone ever heard of this company? http://www.eendusa.com/index.php

Ive treid to contact them several times about selling them my e-scrap locally to save me from packing it all up and shipping it. they finally emailed me back today said they would come pick it up, if i sent a list of what i had they would send me a quote.... turns out a price qoute is how much there charging me for "secure destruction" this place must be making a fortune if there charging everyone for this kinda stuff.
Am i wrong do you guys charge for everything too?(they have free dropoff for some things) i thought the whole point was it was worth doing for free for the metals you recovered
I desperatly hope one day i can afford to be on a large scale like them and give them some competition
