Question E Waste Buyers In Norther California

Im in the Stockton, Sacramento area in Northern California. I have searched all over the internet and cannot find a place that purchases E waste in my area. The only things I can find are places in other areas that allow you to ship E waste to them. I have motherboards, circuit boards and things of the like and would like to get paid for them. Anyone know of any place near me that will buy this stuff?

I am in nearly the same area as you and have been searching as well. I have a pretty large load so would even be willing to drive a few hundred miles but cant find much on the West Coast at all.

I would look in Nevada, they are selling ore with as little as 1 ppm to some one over there.

I live in eastern North Carolina and ship to northern Ohio. I sell to one of the buyers from this forum, Ewasted. He can arrange to have fedex come pick up from you. I know others here offer the same option.

Take some pictures of what you have and contact one of them(buyers on this forum). With pictures and a description they will be able give you guidance. Face to face is better but sometimes you just can't. If you have any questions I can answer please pm me, Mike.

sounds to me like you all might have a large enough load to go direct to the refinery. I would not let that pass without checking it out. or maybe the two of you in the saqme area could combine loads, this sounds like a plan to me.

I don't have a huge amount of this kinda stuff. Just some from computers and appliances that i've scrapped for copper and shred, so I just set aside the circuit boards, ram and the like. If I knew of a place to sell the stuff I would put more effort in trying to look specifically for it.

I was suggesting you and norcalscrapper get to gether and see what you have. if there is no buyer arround there form a co=op. or like was suggested before there are several guys on the forum that will buy it. I have had good experiences with all of them I have delt with.
any one on the forum that screwed any one would imedeately be tarred and feathered so to speak, the couple that showed up here with spam or scam were dismissed very quickly. if I were able I would be back in sacramento in a minite to take advantage of this need in the market. actually just across the line in Nevada would be much better. Nye county nev is probably the freeist county in the U.S. any one want to open an escrap yard there ? pm me Im ready.

Definately check the buyer section at the bottom of the forum page. There are several good and reputable buyers present here. Definately check out the ones that contribute information to this forum. I will not name them at the risk of leaving someone out, but take a look at their post count and you will see how helpful they are to everyone.

    Hello Johna,

I was curious why someone would dig up an old post, revive it if you will. Specially when they only have posted 4 times and have not introduced themselves as of yet.

I am all for promoting businesses, specially for those that support this forum. So while I have a few questions, I want to make that clear and congratulate you on your support of this forum.

In my opinion however, I think there is something else going on that you are not being honest about for some reason. I want to be clear again about this. I am only expressing my own personal opinion, so if I am wrong I will apologize now, but I'm going to explain myself first.

The company you are referring to, Evergreen Recycling states this on their webpage:

    * Free E-waste (TV, Computers, Stereo, etc...) drop-off location

    * Free E-waste Pick-Up for clients in Lodi, CA
There is no mention of purchasing e-waste.

Also, the last time the site was updated, or anything was posted to the calendar was back in 2011, you might want to update your webpage information.

I would also like to ask what exactly your ecollective is, if it's the standard collective business model I would be interested in how exactly you are operating.

Now to why I believe you are involved with this computer in some capacity, either an owner or an employee, or someone else directly associated with it.

So that's two posts, one in which you are looking to sell e-scrap, and another that looks like you are asking about buying.

Then you post in THIS thread:

Quote Originally Posted by JohnaQuinn View Post

Now why is it, if you have e-scrap to sell, or e-scrap you want to buy, you are not dealing with the very company you are suggesting others deal with, and why are you going out of your way to dig up an old post just so you can state this?

All this leads me to believe what I stated above, and again, while I think promoting your business and buying a membership here and placing your information in the correct area, with the correct information is a smart thing to do, pretending to be just an everyday average joe blow posting helpful information, while you are actually trying to promote your business is a little, well.... it sends the red flags flying up the poll.

If you are involved with the company you have posted about, please be honest about it. While you're at it, it might do you well to introduce yourself, not just digging up old posts like this next one, just so you can post for exposure:

And if I am wrong about any of what I assumed, or my opinions on your posts, please correct me, and do so here so everyone can see your response. But please, if you are involved with Evergreen in any way, be honest, don't play games, this is the first day you have posted and it's better if you are open and honest now, rather than try to repair the damage later.

I am bumping this thread on purpose.

I would like to hear from Johna:

And if I am wrong about what I have said, I would like the opportunity to correct what I have said so as to not defame.

As well, if I am correct I would like to give Johna the opportunity to clear things up.

I am also curious about the e-recycle collective and what exactly that means in a recycle business.

Scott , go get yourself a job mate as it seems you have a lot of spate time on your hands . I didn't realize that this was an old thread as I just joined yesterday and am still finding my way around the site . With regard to the reference I made about evergreen I stand by it . They buy all types off e waste . I thought I was been held full . I thought that was the point of the forum .

My intent wasn't to offend you, and I do have time on my hand while I'm working, and choose to post during those times I am waiting for a reaction, or melting something. I didn't attack you, I simply stated what it looks like to me you are doing.

But you have not answered the question, so if I'm wrong I cannot even apologize. So let me be crystal clear so this can be all cleared up without mud slinging.

Are you involved with, employed by or associated with the company you posted about, Evergreen.

Quote Originally Posted by JohnaQuinn View Post

I didn't see anywhere on their website where they stated they purchase e-waste, and it hasn't been updated since 2011, so where is that information?

Quote Originally Posted by JohnaQuinn View Post

I'm not sure what you meant by this.

Another reason for my questions is that I own and operate a small precious metals refinery in Northern California. I was hoping if you were involved, and could clear all this up, I might be able to conduct some business. But I didn't want to even go there if you are not the right person to talk with.

I am still very curious what your ecollective is.

It looks like Evergreen is operating under the California Buy Back program for CRV containers. But if they are in business with e-srcap, I very well might have some things to discuss with them, or you, if you are that person.

In any case, clarifying things would be nice, and I would appreciate it if you could do so without the sarcasm, I don't really appreciate it.

Maybe if you introduce yourself and just simply state what your business is that will be enough to clear things up.

    Scott

    EDITED:

Perhaps it's just better if I call the company directly, and ask them if they know you, or if you represent them in some way. Of course your name might not be your real name, but letting them know someone is representing them on this forum may encourage them to buy a membership themselves, I think that maybe they would be a good addition and might like to share and learn along with the rest of us.

    EDITED:

I see what you mean by "held full" you meant helpful. It didn't make sense before, but I see what you were trying to say now. And yes, that's what I believe this forum is all about as well, being helpful, but being helpful also means sharing in the business you are in that can gain you customers, and also help them as well.

Hello fellow scrappers, havent been on here in a while so forgive me if im responding to an old forum question. I too live in san joaquin county and am desperately seeking and ewaste / crt buyer. Just for the record evergreen in lodi went under and is no longer in business. They were ok but only paid 6 cents a lb for tvs and not a lot for computer scrap. I actually clean out properties for a living and accumulate a ton of tvs and computers.
Our only options that i know of in the area are tri valley - which i will never deal with again- due to a lot of dif reasons mainly because they screw you and make you jump through so many hoops in order to sell to them its not worth my time or frustration. I keep logs on all tvs collected. I currently have a 5-10 trailer full of tvs and approx 400 lbs of motherboards, hard drives, memory, power supplies etc. Anyone have any more buyer hook ups in northern ca that are paying decent? Ill go to the bay area if neccesary , just dont have any connections.
    Thanks
    in advance
    noelle

scrapper girl, check out the buyers forum. With that weight you can get a better deal on shipping. We have a member that brokers shipping. Don't sell until you do some research! Good luck and welcome from Maryland.
