    Hard drive platters??

I have a stack of about 10 hard drive platters. I looked on ebay and see them going for about $1-1.50/pound. I can't see making much after fees and shipping. Aren't they coated aluminum? Should I just throw them in with my aluminum?

THis was already posted here in it's complete form, but this is the condensed version. If you continue to break them down you will have more platters to sell, hang on to what you have till you have enough to make it worth selling.

Wow, the prices have dropped a bit on these. I was thinking more, but just looked at them. As said, just toss them to the side until you have a big (flat rate) box full of them.

I throw mine in the aluminum bucket. I heard it isn't even platinum they're coated in

The only listings that matter on E-bay are completed listings. They will be listed in green.

If you type in something such as hard drive platters, all listings that are still going on will come up. If you scroll down the screen, you will see completed listings. click there.
