Hi there from the middle of Europe

    Hi there!
First- i am from Poland so please, forgive me, for my english gramatical errors and correct me everytime if you could- it will be good to me.
I have been interesting in e-waste for about 3 years but i started collecting this a few months ago .
I have like 50 kgs of boards .
a few kg' of elements like ceramic capacitors , transistors etc.
I want to dismantle these boards to electronic elements like capacitors, resistors, Ic's , transistors etc.
I collect tools at the moment.
In Poland it's very new kind of businesss- e-scrap.
My biggest dream is my own e-waste businesss .
In my country sellable are only computer elementrs like RAM, mother boards etc.
In Germany ( a country next to Poland) there is a lot more possibilities and better prices.
As far as i am conceerned in the usa , as welll.
I have finished many, many years ago (2004) electronic school and later i was on university of technology but at environmental engineering.
I wonder hot it looks like to send e-waste to the usa ( cost and politics , because it's waste).
    Is it profitable?
    Or cost is very high?
Thank You for all Your comments

what prices do u get for the different types of boards, RAM and CPUs in Poland?
im thinking it wont be worth it to ship to USA-too expensive

Welcome to the forum! My mother and my grandparents visited your country last year and loved it! I hope to visit one day myself.

I assume the cost to ship to the US will be very high. Maybe try asking around at local scrap yards to see if they know of any e-waste buyers. The buyers who buy nonferrous metals from local yards often buy boards as well.

So the best idea it's just sell it in Germany
    I live close ( like 100 km ) to the border Germany-Poland.
In germany price are pretty nice as far as i am concerned.
But i haven't seen any MLCC buyer in germany.

WoW! I'd LOVE to see some photos of what you are getting.

I try and find a escrap buyer, test them out with a few smaller amounts of boards to see what they are specifically wanting, and to find out their prices, their turnover of escrap & their knowledge.

If there are any Copper mines around your area, some of them also buy escrap because they can use escrap as feedstock & they can process out the precious Metals later since they often do that to the Copper they mine anyway.

Germany, with its advanced ecological & environment Laws would be a good source of escrap buyers too, i think.

Its probably best to aquire as much escrap as you can get, i wouldn't be buying it unless its really cheap. You have to clean it down & that gets you some Steel scrap, Brass & Copper too. Thats good for a few Zlotys while you process it.
Picking off individual IC chips & Capactors might be counter productive. The actual boards hold a lot of Copper tracing & they recover that too, they also get Lead, Tin & Silver from the solder, Brass, Copper & Gold from the contacts.
Even after that, they sometimes sell the processed mulched boards to metal refiners to use as a flux on their metal melting furnace pots.

Find out exactly how they want it seperated, figure out what you have to take off the boards ( Batterys !! ) Heatsinks & ferrite coils.

Do you scrap CRT TV's? Fridges? Washing machines? Theres plenty of information here about them.

Take care & use proper Ear & Eye & Hand protection. /e

if you know of or find any scrap yards within bicycling distance of Powidz let me know. I might get a rickshaw or trailer for awhile to get exercise and keep from being stuck in the barracks.
