Worth scrapping keyboards and mice or just toss them?

We get hundreds of keyboards and mice a month and usually keep any new ones or ones that appear new but toss the rest. Think I could make >$30 an hour to breakdown and scrap? Or should I just cut cords or just toss them?

I've got a guy that buys my keyboards at sheet metal price after I cut the cords, should have 10 gaylords going in next week.

Certain keyboards and mice are worth far more than scrap. You need to research on Ebay's sold listings on what folks are buying.

Scrapping keyboards & mice may net you $0.20 an hour if you are luck.

yes its worth it, since all you really get is the flexible (forge the name) board inside, just snap the keyboards on your knee and put them in a pile then sit down, pull them appart and take out the button board

For me not worth taking them apart. I also have one buyer that takes them for about $0.04-0.05 per lb mixed with mice, printers, plastic, etc even with the cords cut off. I also have another buyer (exporter) for all the USB mice and keyboards as long as they look decent for 50 cents each. If I come across any vintage ones like old IBM model M, etc, those go on ebay.
