    How Much Ram

Anyone have the numbers on how much desktop/laptop mix(no rambus) ram you can "ram" into a large flat rate box? I've got 13 lbs. into one and still have room for more but don't have any more to check. It's looking like maybe 27lbs. Just curious as I'm doing some shipping cost analysis. Thanks in advance for your help.

We purchase laptop computers and many components for greater than scrap value. We offer a shipping reimbursement program.replies

I sent a large FRB off a couple of months ago. It was a mix of laptop and desktop RAM, but no RAMBUS. The total came to 30.5 pounds. I was leaning on the box to close it, though. It was definitely full.

Now, my box was scrap RAM. If this is aMore than Scrap Value RAM shipment, please don't package it like that. After shipping, you'll have scrap RAM.

Thanks for the info. Yes it's scrap. I should've indicated that.

I was able to squeeze 43 lbs in a large flat rate box neatly stacked. It was a tight fit.

Depending on how far you are sending it you may be able to get a better rate with one of the Regional Rate boxes from the USPS. The Regional Rate B box is larger than the Flat Rate Medium box. I use the Regional Rate boxes for much of my shipping because it does save money depending where its going. Mike

I believe my previous statement to be incorrect. I now think that it was 60 pounds in two regional B boxes. Sorry for my confusion.
