    Silver/Gold embedded in heatsink

    Hello all

Newer member, long time lurker. Hoping to get some advice on removing the gold and silver from the copper. I have tried a hammer/chisel without much success. Does it appear to have enough weight to warrant the time to seperate them or just throw it in the #2 bin? These came out of some VFDs for air handlers.

Hoping I have enough posts to get me beyond the picture posting threshold.

what I would do is email buyers of your choice and send them the pics and they will tell you what they will buy it for if it has gold it will sell for something

    Thanks for the responses.

The last pic is just the opposite side of the board. They were covered in some sort of silicone that was a mess to clean up, but came with about 7 pound aluminum heatsinks. Don't come across VFDs very often though.
