I've seen corrosion in computers before due to mice but there's none in this one, thank goodness.

I picked up a load of scrap and found 2 phones I haven't scrapped before.

The first is a NEC DSX 34B BL Super Display and the second one is a Polycom VVX310 IP phone

I found this in a load of scrap yesterday. From what I can find it looks to be a device that produces white noise through ceiling speakers in a office area. I've seen new white noise systems but this one looks pretty old.

I've been in the telecom business since 84 and this gives me access to a lot of old telephone and data equipment. When I install new equipment the customer usually lets me haul the old equipment away. All of the scrap I receive is free and I feel very blessed because of this.
I always make sure people have my contact info in case they have more stuff to haul.
I don’t sell anything on ebay but I do have other sources for any electronics that are still in good working order.
The first pics came from some digital business phones. Each phone had 3 separate circuit boards. Pics show the front and back of each.
The last two pics are of the board that came out of the LCD. Each one has a copper sheet (#2) that covers the back of the board.
i have seen that the one i found though was a charger for a laptop a brick i think its called? only ever had one.

Older PC compared to newer PC

This is more for the newbies than those of us who have been breaking down PC's for a while now.
The older PC usually has more gold finger cards and larger mother boards. The older PC on the left was missing the slot processor. The newer PC on the right did have 1 gold finger card but most don't. It also had a small socket mother board and a couple sticks of memory.

    First load of 2019.
I just got through unloading this and wanted to post a pic. I brought home 19 monitors, 10 computers, 4 printers, 3 Comdial phone systems, 1 Nortel phone system and 2 boxes of assorted keyboards, cables and phones.
I'll be able to get better than scrap value for some of this. The computers have i3 processors and there's 1 i5.

I found a couple of things in that last load that was new to me. The first one is a Nortel M-9404 console and the other is a Adtran TA-608.

    WatchGuard T1AE8 Firewall

I'm still finishing up a load I picked up last week and found an old firewall. The main board looks like a router and a PC motherboard combined.

That is pretty cool! I found something similar in a office printer. Basically looked the same except no CPU socket.

The first 2 pics are a Dell docking station and pics 3 and 4 are a Affirmative 2509 YEStation terminal. Looks like a thin client but I'm not real sure. Nice board though.

The first pics are from an EnGenius DuraFon-UHF-HC that had 2 nice boards in it.
The next ones are of a Zebra S4M label printer. It had some good boards and a big piece of aluminum.

I got 2 more phones to add to my list.

The first is a Cisco CP-8851 and the second is a Yealink SIP-T48S

Cisco phones always have good boards.

I picked up a small load 2 weeks ago and just got around to taking some of it apart. This came from a paint store and I had a pic of the model number but accidentally deleted it. I believe it was used for mixing paint. Not sure.

    Iwatsu ZT-S 616 phone system

I scrapped this phone system the other day that had 2 decent boards in it. I will be removing the 40 yellow transformers but they pop off real easy.

I'm still at it but haven't found anything different to post pictures of. I did pick up 2 old Avaya phone systems yesterday and 9 big boxes of phones. The contact was so happy that I hauled this off for them. There will be another full load in a few more weeks. Mostly computers, servers, laptops and batteries.

I have pictures I've been wanting to post but have just been to busy. I scrapped a Panasonic 8EXT phone system, a TVS200 voice mail and about 30 Panasonic phones. The phones had a boat load of screws and nothing but low grade boards inside.

I picked up a small load of paging amps and switches last week that had been returned for various reasons. Most due to lightening damage. I did find 2 brand new amps so I plan on hanging on to them.

I always keep contact information and if I haven't heard from someone lately, I'll give them a call. I called one the other day and he was happy to hear from me because he had lost my number. I brought home a decent pile of servers and routers and 1 very nasty toaster oven.
At the top is a very heavy hard drive array. It was at least 100 pounds and the big black one at the bottom of the pile is heavier. My back is feeling it this morning.
