OP: if swinging through Dallas on the way isn't TOOOOOOO far outta your way, I can steer you towards a couple of good buyers.

EDIT... looks like it isn't too much of a detour if you take the northern route. Plus that way's more scenic. 29 miles longer is all.

hmm not sure i get lost even with a gps. ill be in tx for week at least so i can probably head up to dallas, texas. i have boards., ram. hd's flatscreens and plasma/lcd tv;s.

Those are both scenic routes, they're also both largely desert. That is a long ways to haul a bunch of boards, doesn't it go like "every hundred pounds causes an X decrease in mileage? Figure that over 1500 miles, cause that's what either of those routes will be, and maybe closer to 2k total. The I40 route doesn't go to Dallas, it goes through Ft Worth, so 29 miles difference won't be exact.
Either way, good luck on the trip, and if you're going to be doing any sightseeing along the way, post your route and I'll give you a few of my suggestions. I've been both routes several times, and although it's been awhile, and no doubt some things have changed(such as Fresno's Chinatown, and most of Houston), those deserts really don't change much.

Total mileage of the northern route would be 1793 miles, and it goes within 4.26 miles of HLH&R's facility.

Detouring to go to FMI adds right at 10 miles to that:1803 total.

I dig me some google maps / google earth!!

The northern I40 route will be through cooler country than the southern I10 route too

I would go the Dallas route, there's no one down here (Austin area) that is willing to buy boards that I know of. (Except me I guess) Also, I would contact ddelatorre14. It says he's in San Antonio.

Last I studied into that one, his facility was in Mesquite, just east of Dallas. At that time, they also tallied your material, and the check would be mailed several weeks later(although he had some good references far as prices paid)

just visiting the inlaws. thought i may haul \some of boards to to see the outcome and not be bored at their place. i usually hit up the junkyards for parts or craigs for tools lol.
