Can you guys tell me what kind of chips these are?The one on the top has gold fingers, the one on the bottom is silver in color. I "think" they're memory sticks but am not sure. I have several of each, want to find out some info so I'll know whether or not to scrap or sell on eBay. Thanks!

Looks like old ram to me.

Yep, old ram. Could be old game cartridges, but looks more like ram to me.

All I know is that if they were mine, they'd go into the 'museum'. Don't scrap them, chances are you'll regret it. Google any numbers that are on the sticks, you may find the hardware (calculator/printer/server) it belongs to. Doing that will tell you how to market them for the best return.

The top one has gold plate on the fingers, the one under it with the silver is actually tin.
I have processed a lot of this type of material, milled and incinerated. When they have the big thick chips that usually means they are older. When the chips are on just one side, they were meant to be put into the slot they belonged to, then tilted until they clicked into place. They are most likely computer memory.

Someone just today brought me in over 6lbs of these. I've had some of them, but not that many at once. Normally, I get them from old PCs, all stacked in a row like Noble said...have to hold a clip back and tilt them out. These are probably 20 years old give or take.

They are called EDO memory chips if memory serves me correctly.

Im coming up with $1-$2 per stick resale value, gonna have to set this ram off to the side to sell it later in a lot.
