Austin Laptops. Anyone ever heard of them?

I found this ..... thing.... today. About all I can find from google is that a company called Austin Laptops was based in (creatively) Austin TX, and folded in the late 90s.

Anyone have a need for such a thing. It's untested, and the screen is badly cracked.

I'd prolly check this out on the Vintage computer forum. It's prolly early to mid 90's. They where headquartered in Austin Tx, hence forth the name. They went out of buisness in the late 90's! Might be worth more than scrap to a collector over on the Vintage forum. Good luck with it!

They would if the screen wasn't busted. You might want to power it up (if you have the brick for it) to see if it functions at all, somebody might want it for the floppy, hd, keyboard or motherboard (basically it would be worth it for parts if they might be functional).

I actually got a tower, keyboard and mouse recently, all by Austin Computers. I did the same thing as you but Google didn't reveal much. I was going to throw it on ebay but haven't gotten around to it yet. I'd say they are scarce but I'm not sure about more than scrap value or not.
