    Curbside Score

While driving home the other night with the family I quickly pull over to the curb, I'd spotted a TV by some trash bins. My son and I get out to put it in the car. It's a 28" TV. Behind it is a 19" CRT computer monitor. Next to that is a large box. I open the box and there are a bunch of cables. I scoop them up and there is a laptop, it's an older Dell, pretty thick and has a floppy drive. I take it out and under it is another laptop, small thin, a fairly new looking Gateway with the power supply. I get home and plug the Gateway in before taking it apart and it boots up to Windows XP. The drive is clean with no other software, plus it has WiFi. Someone has cleaned it and reinstalled Windows. I load in an anti-virus program, scan the system and then do all the updates. My wife claimed it and is enjoying her new, free, laptop.

Then next day I was telling a guy about my electronics recycling, he brings out a large format Canon Photo printer that doesn't work. I take it home and open it up, it has 8 ink cartridges inside. I take them over to Staples for their double rewards promotion and get $32 store credit for recycling them. Then I find 4 new ink cartridges in the bottom of the printer box. They sell for $12 each new, they are now on Ebay.

This modern day treasure hunting is a blast, and profitable.

Believe it or not but some of the old heavy laptops are the best for scrap, ive found ceramic cpus in them and they were not shy with the copper and gold back then either. I freakin love escrap. Even the really modern stuff if its broken will bring alot on ebay, i just sold 2 laptops i bought as scrap for $2 each for $30-$40 each.
I buy and sell all types of scrap and escrap. I buy specialty and hard to sell escrap. I buy resale items. PM me or contact me at jghilino@hotmail.com
I AM ACTIVELY BUYING ESCRAP OF ALL TYPES. BOARDS, RAM, CPUS AND MUCH MORE
