    Depends on your buyer. I remove the aluminum heatsinks with a screwdriver or pliers. I have been leaving the metal around the cpu socket as well as around the PS2, USB, Serial, etc ports. I also check to make sure the metal or plastic bracket that is on the back of the MOBO is off.
    I weighed the metal bracket & one of the larger heatsinks the other day. They were 6 ounces.
