I agree about a comment above on getting a better camera. Some of the best advice I ever received was the following. "Take pictures like you can not write a description, and write a description like you can't take pictures."

Those pictures are important. I even saw one of your reviews complain about the pictures even though you got a positive review over all from him.

I myself typically stay clear of auctions without clear pictures when I am buying something, especially a used item. I might just be that guy that would have been the next bidder. And if the previous bidder had a bid in at $40 but got it for $20 becase no one bid against him, well, that stuff does happen.

I once bought a coin from someone on E-bay. It was a decent coin at a decent price, but the best thing was that she stated free shipping on other items that I am selling when you have already bought one item. She had a lot of about 8 coins that had the absolute worst picture ever. There was one picture of these coins and because of the flash position when she took the picture, they all looked like a bunch of orbs of light. I got that lot for 99 cents with no shipping. The lot happened to be some 14th and 15th century Roman coins that I got about $160 for when I listed them with some good pictures.

Obviously it does not always work this way, but just some food for thought. At least you are listing stuff and making some good coin rather than scrapping it all out.

I have a camera that I bought about 10 years ago for over $800 that is still superior to many cameras these days. I can step back from a ring and zoom in and take a picture and clearly read the 14k stamp on the inside of the band. Granted, you can probably do that now with a $200 camera, but I am a firm believer in "a picture is worth a thousand words". And I get chewed out from my brother-in-law all the time for not putting enough pictures in my listings, LOL.
