    Eprom's

Thanks for readin mah post. So I have been reading threads on Eproms (IC's with windows I believe) and their seems to be some speculation on their value vs normal IC chips. Here are some pictures of Eproms and IC's in their original tubing, I have hundreds of these tubes (I have no idea why I didn't take pictures of the various chips inside the tubing instead of just the tubes, epic fail):

    A very large bucket:

My question revolves around their price, are they worth more than regular IC chips, the ones with silver and gold windows?
Here is a picture of some with gold windows, I have tubes of these:

The most related thread I found was http://www.scrapmetalforum.com/elect...-ic-chips.html but it wasn't the only one, there are several "Eprom" threads but information per their value seems ambigous and virtually non-existent, any buyers care to comment? I checked Ebay, their price has a large fluctuation, I wanted to see what others thought.

    Thanks

If you bought them originally from a distributor then they shipped them in those tubes to keep the legs straight.

If those are tubes of unused ic chips, I believe I remember reading a post of a buyer on here that was looking for those and paying more then scrap value. Possibly check the buyers page.

those tubes are three foot long, and the chips are two inches ? I bought a similar chip once, and it came in a small package

So does anyone know the scrap value of these eproms? I have some like the ones in the last pic. and also have some that are thinner and longer and have a long window on them. Some are gold and some are silver. Should I keep these seprate from the solid black ones?
