$40 for the towers if complete, throw another 15 or 20 for the rest.

Before I read Brasscatcher's reply I came up with $50 for the whole shebang considering the driving and the monitors. I'd probably go as high as $75 total just for the fun of it, go on garbage night in whatever town the stuff is in. Asking $500 he'll probably get pissed no matter what, and sit on the stuff for another couple years.

OH S*** THATS RIGHT HARRISBURG DOES HAVE A GARBAGE NIGHT!!! I'd have to find out which night is though. But that'd work if he bites for it.

Offer $45 and if he is unhappy go look for another deal. I have a quote that I have failed to heed and lost money.

"profit begins when you buy not when you sell" In case you need an explanation; if pay to much you force yourself to work harder to make profit. Don't sell yourself short. Mike.

Well, at least I was somewhere in the ballpark. I came up with $40. That's with Goodwill taking the monitor glass. Otherwise, I'd be charging $10 to take the monitor.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

$50 would be tops for me with that kind of drive...If he's at $500 I don't think you guys are close enough to be able to deal.

maybe $80 is tin/shred is a decent price, monitor glass is free to get rid of, you pick up with a 4cyl car, and you get prices from your buyer similar to ewasted's lol.

What I would do is let it sit on cl for a month or so, them make him an offer. by then he will know no one wants his jink and will want the living room floor back lol. I'm getting like 1 out of 4 with that approach wich is pretty good for lowballing lol.

I run into the same problem with craigslist ads for computers. People don't understand scrap value. They think its either worth zero or face value. People all the time are trying to sell old computers for 50$ ea and say its a great deal. I too would offer 50$ take it or leave it.
