    Questions

OK. I'm new to lucrative e waste so please bear with me. With circuit boards do I strip aluminum heat sinks and transformers then sell boards or leave alone and sell intact? On PC cards cut the gold fingers or leave alone. On PC drives break gold pins on back or sell intact? Power supplies break down or sell whole? Lots of questions. Sorry so to the point. Thanks all.

OK!! I'll try my best to answer your questions. On low grade boards only (these come from tv's,monitors, vcr's and the like) I take the aluminum, big steel and ic chips. It depends on how much you are getting for the boards, if you can get more for the transformers than you get for the booards then take the transformers off as well. Gold fingers, I don't think it is worth taking them off the boards but some people do, you will down grade the boards a little pit. I neever pull the gold pins off any boards, I think you will down grade the boards. Power supplies I will break down and pull the board (it's called a power board and sould pay better than a low grade board) do not take any thing off the power board or you will down grade it. Now after all this it's always better to check with your buyer about how they want things done, seems like every buyer has a diffrant way of doing things. I hope this helps.

Thanks Happy. That is along the lines of what I was thinking. Just feels good to hear someone else say it!
