Thanks forthe link. It is still a lucrative business. You can refill them yourself actually. The more you do, the cheaper you can buy the ink for. I may just have to get me a couple of bottles of ink and start refilling this pile of cartridges that I have. It is a matter of drilling a small hole in the cartridges, refilling them with a couple dollars worth of ink, and then putting a plug in the hole. You now have a refilled cartridge that should fetch about 70 to 80 percent of a new cartridge. I had a friend back in Illionois that was going to start doing this.

I am thinking testing of the used cartridges may be in order to be succesful. Therefore, if I start this, I will offer to refill people's own cartridges that they just ran empty.

I just typed in "ink refill kit" and this is the first link that came up on e-bay. Canon CL 41 51 831 71 91 PG 50 830 70 90 810 810XL 811 811XL 210 Ink Refill Kit | eBay imagine if you could buyt the inks by the gallon.

If the ink cartrage is damaged in any way they can not be reused. By damaged I mean if the print head is scratched or if the ink is dryed up inside they won't work right. I don't know how to test them to see if they are good or not.

I don't know what they sell but I am sure they sell the used ones to a recycler
