I guess I am becoming famous...

...since people started plagiarizing my ads

This morning I ran into something interesting. From time to time I post a "free computer hardware wanted" ad in the wanted section of CL. Do not get many responses but from time to time get enough to keep me busy . I also get my ad flagged from time to time. Competition probably or some jerk with too much time on their hands.

Anyway... This morning, I discover an ad in the "free" section that basically is an almost identical copy of my ad. It actually got flagged fairly soon probably because it was in the wrong place. I did respond to it before that happened, however. Was curious more than upset or mad. Said that I might have some stuff the poster would be interested in. Got s response. Now I am trying to figure what to do next. Maybe I should let it go.



Again, I am sort of curious who that person is more than pissed at them for plagiarizing (or competing with me). And I don't have any copyright on CL ads so people can steal the text I guess. But I am just curious whether something like this has happened to you and what you decided to do.

Oh, no! I just wanted to get his/her email. So I guess I matched his stealing with my lying.

I've flaged ads before but only if they are in the wrong section like (electronics) and or excessively over post to the point that i cant find what im looking for, it just pisses me off. I say only a**hole would excessively over post at over 100 post within a day or two, it just nuts.

I would probably send them some helpful info on Viagra or breast enhancement.

I'm such an evil woman some days.

Probabaly best to let it go.
