Photos of My work station, My home away from home

I average about 50 towers a week. I spend about an hour or so each night in here. when i go out to smoke a cigarette, i break down one or two. When i found my first Pentium Pro CPU i was in here till 2am. When you get the fever, you just cant stop!

God is great, scrap is good, and people are crazy

Its better to be scrapping and thinking of God than sitting in church thinking of scrapping

The newer ones might only be 10 lb where the old ones run about 20 lb.

Good observation. It's an old Philco from the 40's. I actually listen to it whenever I'm working in the garage. I came across scrapping electronics while doing my real passion. I'm a picker. Someday I'll take a picture of the other side of my garage where all my good finds are displayed. Being a picker allows me to look through peoples junk and find electronics while finding anything else I may find worth selling or keeping.

Thanks for the pictures! I love looking at people's work benches. I can't find near that many computers (or electronics, period) in this area. Plus, the scrapyards in my area don't take printed circuit boards. How do you suggest going about finding that many computers?

In the first picture, it appeared you were in an office building some where, as I saw a few cars through what appeared to be a window...was I seeing that correctly, because the other picture, showed a double axle trailer in your drive way?

Regardless, pretty nice pictures! Pretty much how my set up is as well. Bunch of plastic totes, work bench, and the various tools (hand and power).

I have the tube amplifier and speakers from a 1960 Hammond organ for my shop sound system. Kind of ironic how it presides over the destruction of "newer" electronics.
