GoldChipBuyer has them marked at $150/lb. Buying Price for Various Gold Plated CPUs, Chips and Fingers « GoldChipBuyer do not anything about them though...

Sure would mean 100% right. No I am not sure, but that is what the websight says...does the link work? You could compare better looking at their pics.

i would look up a chip buyer from the forum, before you let them go for $2/lb, i think you can do better than that.

It depends, but the answer it's not worthless. If you are referring to a motherboard as something like this:

After you remove the processor, RAM, and expansion cards, you can get $3 to $4 a pound for it at high grade motherboard rate. If you strip it down further by removing any copper and some IC chips that you can remove, you can still get high grade motherboard rate. Even if somehow you strip it down to be just a green board, you would probably still get low grade rate.

i was under the impression that a completely stripped motherboard was still gold printed. you can see the many layers when you look at the side, and there is gold plating on each layer to complete the circuits. thats what separates it from low grade board, the other stuff attached like ceramics, plastics and steel parts are actually holding the board back from being worth more than motherboard grade. i have no idea what the ratios are, as i do not refine, nor do i work with refiners.

can anyone tell me more about the gold printing process for layered boards?
