I was joking, we don't use ebay. We use kijiji all the time and offer free delivery. CL is not very popular here.

36" monitors?? woah! and you can't sell them? Those would be hard to ship, i'd stick with local. In Nashville I could run an ad in the newspaper for $10. Had to be careful how it was posted, and usually had to drop in to place the ad, so it didn't get all the bs add-ons, which drove the price up a lot. But one ad, if I had a number of identical computers would sometimes keep me very busy for a week or two. As soon as one would go out the door I'd be setting another one up, and many times the phone was already ringing (do you still have the computer for sale? uhmmm, yes I do) Sometimes even would go to the, yes, i have one left, trip ; )

free delivery of what? items for sale?

The few items that I put on ebay, I list only once, auction sytle, no reserve with a low starting bid (but higher than scrap price). If it doesn't sell, I scrap them. Not worth my time to list too many times, as I get enough scrap most of the time to keep myself busy.

Most answers to this question will revolve around storage space and your time preference. I have some items that list for $2,000 on Ebay. I'm yet to sell one at the $400 I'm asking for it but I will continue to list it until it sells. There are efficient ways to list your items using software like Garage Sale. I simply wait for ebay to offer free listing days and list the item all at once with a couple clicks of the a button.

ebay sales of varying items takes time, patience, study, and the ability to pay their fees, plus all of the above. If you have none of the above, scrap it. If you care to proceed, be prepared to do countless searches for unknown items, and hope to be a good guesser if there are no search results. Odds are if there are no search results, and you list it twice, there is absolutely no demand(IF you list it correctly). A 10 day listing, starting on a Friday was the best area I found for those type items. Shipping of more bulky items can be a challenge, but it's something you'll just need to learn to deal with if you wish to make the extra bucks these type sales can provide. Experience gets to be a plus(as usual ; )

My personal watermark is around $30. If I can't move it quickly for $30 on eBay, I'd just as soon scrap it. I know I can probably get a better hourly rate on eBay than scrapping, but I hate eBay, and enjoy breaking stuff down.

Depends, if I have a few watchers but no bids I might list again. If I seem to have no interest, it goes.

With the computers I would search completed and see just what the desktops alone might bring you and separate them, listing the monitors maybe on CL. I think the 36" CRT would scare alot of people away who might otherwise bid on the computer due to it's weight and space requirements.
