    Etsy help

I am looking for someone that does Etsy selling to share some shipping tips. I have some issues with the calculated shipping being less than the actual cost that I pay. Any help is appreciated. Msg me if you will

Offer free shipping and make sure the offered sale price covers the shipping charge. Don't cut the corners so close.

Most all the items I sell are all profit. They are leftovers from dismantling things. Things that I would have taken apart anyway. Something I sell for ten dollars would have been half a cent in scrap value. The margins are quite good I feel, even if I would list the item for five dollars. Takes only a few minutes to do the listing and then pack and ship when sold. Just aggravating when the buyer pays a calculated price to ship like: $8.32 and it actually costs me $9.00. I think the issue might lie in the fact that I don't get the shipping label directly from Etsy, I get it at the post office. I think Etsy is charging the buyer the discounted shipping rate from them. Gonna have to get a label printer to test this theory. Thanks all.Offer free shipping and make sure the offered sale price covers the shipping charge. Don't cut the corners so close.

You don't need a label printer and the post office always charges full price.

Go to pirateship.com you can import the sale info right from etsy and get a discount same at etsy or ebay. Then just print the label on your regular printer. As you said put the ship cost in your sell price. You just have to calculate the weight correctly. If the item ship fee is also based on distance put in a zip as far from you as possible.
